About Us
In 1984, the Ballyfinnane Community Hall emerged as a testament to collective effort. Contributions were collected from families across the parish, embodying the spirit of community support. Through voluntary labour, the hall came to fruition, standing as a symbol of communal strength and collaboration. The Ballyfinnane Community Hall has been run by a voluntary committee from the beginning.
Over the years, the hall has been a hub of activity, hosting a variety of classes including yoga, dancing, whist, and music sessions. The local primary school, Scoil Naomh Carthach, has free access to the hall for their activities.
Numerous fundraisers have been organised at the hall over the years, including the ever-popular annual table quiz, sales of work, and festive Christmas Markets. Additionally, charity events have been arranged, such as the Hospice Coffee Morning, showcasing the community's dedication to supporting important causes.
The Ballyfinnane Community Hall is due for some structural updates, and any funds raised will go towards modernising various aspects of the building. Our first priority is to make the toilets wheelchair accessible, ensuring inclusivity for all members of our community.

The Ballyfinnane Parents Association would like to welcome you to partake in a fantastic and fun filled day in the hinterland of Ballyfinnane and it's surrounds. This April, join the excitement at our event where we guarantee all will have a great day. Whether it's the sense of achievement of completing either of the two challenging cycling routes or the hospitality and music afterwards, you'll be delighted that you registered.
All funds raised are in aid of Scoil Naomh Cárthach, Ballyfinnane, which is a two-teacher, co-educational, rural Catholic school. It is situated in Kiltallagh Parish, between Farranfore and Castlemaine. The school was built in 1965 and has had a long tradition in traditional Irish music, singing, dancing, and football. We currently have 33 pupils on roll. To ensure this rich tradition continues we need your help to raise much needed funds.
So delay no longer, sign up and join us for a memorable day. Looking forward to seeing you at the starting line.
Go raibh mile maith agat.
